Family Gatherings

laughter erupts from the room
signs of enjoyment and pleasure,
fill the whole house
lips curve
the eyes slowly
c r e a s e
wrinkles form
and they smile
high fives are shared
warm hugs are given
and grins are received,
as people pass one another
the clitter clatter of china
the ringing of forks hitting
a g a i n s t
crystal clear glass cups
everyone has gathered
mothers, fathers,
uncles, aunts,
and strangers gather together
carrying mutual love in their souls
all here in one place

[The shape of this concrete poem is supposed to be a glass cup, which was mentioned about in this poem. It's kind of hard to tell. It was my first concrete poem, so it doesn't look/sound the best, sorry!]
